With the foundation of the Sichuan Chengdu Michelin one-star restaurant ‘Songyunze’ known for ‘One Dish One Style, A Hundred Dishes A Hundred Flavors’, the leading Taiwanese Sichuan fine dining restaurant ‘Chuan Ya’ will guide you to savor the new charm of Sichuan cuisine.Songyunze originated from the Zhengxing Garden of the famous chef Guan Zhengxing during the late Qing Dynasty's Xianfeng era, and then transitioned to the Rongyue Garden of the man known as the ‘Father of Modern Sichuan Cuisine,’ Lan Guangjian, followed by the recent successors Zhang Songyun, Wang Kaifa, and Zhang Yuanfu who have passed down traditional Sichuan culinary techniques; with over a century of master-apprentice transmission, their original intention was to ‘reproduce the mainstream form of high-end Sichuan dining from the Republic era,’ realizing a banquet style of traditional Chinese cuisine.
