We come from Nanyang. Our handmade sweet and savory snacks carry the warmth of our hometown. The layer-steamed rainbow Nyonya jelly cake is a family recipe passed down from my grandmother 'Lin Jinmei' to cultivate patience; the Singapore chiffon green cake made from freshly ground pandan leaves is my new immigrant mother 'Yanli's' specialty, and the Musang King durian cheesecake with a special aroma is my little innovation as her daughter.
These homegrown pandan leaves, Thai lemon leaves, and Indonesian curry leaves are essential natural spices and sources of beautiful colors in our cooking. The flavors of our hometown blend with local Taiwanese ingredients, transforming into a delightful taste that balances sweetness and sourness in you and me.
